Worcester, Mass. clears way for Amazon distribution center

Planning officials in Worcester, Massachusetts have approved Amazon's plans to demolish and redevelop a mall into a "last-mile" distribution center that could come online as early as late 2022. Some residents say Amazon could have gone to greater lengths to ensure the building's sustainability, but project consultant VHB contends the new structure will have a smaller footprint than the current mall.
