Small merchants forecast cheerier sales this season

Small businesses are more bullish on their prospects for the holidays this year than last, according to a recent survey, cheered by forecasts including NRF's prediction of a 4.1 percent rise in holiday sales. Some surveys are even more optimistic, including a new poll from Brand Keys that predicts a 6 percent rise in seasonal sales, despite consumers' ongoing concerns about the economy.
