Retailers are making sizable contributions to aid relief efforts after last week's devastating hurricane, with chains including Gap, Macy's, Target, Home Depot and Kohl's donating millions to the American Red Cross. Many are also reaching out via e-mail to customers in affected areas in an effort to show support and demonstrate that they are part of the communities in which they operate.
