Whole Foods eyes acquisition of 6 stores from Boston chain

Johnnie's Foodmaster, a 10-store family grocer in the Boston area, is in talks with Whole Foods Market, which might purchase or take over leases of six locations, according to a Boston Globe story. The stores are 38,000 square feet and are in urban neighborhoods. Whole Foods operates 21 stores in Massachusetts, with two more planned.
