Louisiana DOT lays out plan for $152M I-10 project

Houston wants Texas to focus on transit in I-45 work

Houston officials are prepared to ask the Texas Department of Transportation to reconsider parts of a $7 billion rebuild of Interstate 45 to prioritize transit-only lanes over managed lanes in the middle. Connecticut moves ahead with State Pier project

The Connecticut Port Authority is letting its chairman hire a construction administrator for a $157 million redevelopment of State Pier. Boston Beer finds a new use for old brew

Sam Adams parent Boston Beer will turn $5.8 million worth of craft beer that was returned from restaurants and retailers into ethanol that can be used in gasoline. While beer sales rose 11.6% in the week ending April 11, craft brewers that depend on restaurants and bars have a sudden surplus of beer as many establishments remain closed amid the pandemic. Skender completes 60-unit independent senior living facility in Illinois

Skender recently completed construction on Residences of Crystal Lake, an affordable, independent senior living facility located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The 63,000-square-foot, 60-unit facility is owned by Turnstone Development, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that has developed over 1,680 affordable housing units for low-income families and seniors in Illinois and Florida since 1998.

Wall construction to begin at Seattle arena

Crews will begin work next week to erect steel for the first new wall in the northeast section of Seattle's reimagined, $930 million sports arena. Miami’s 126 operating hotels house pandemic fighters

Pandemic halts $300M Churchill Downs project with hotel

Washington allows some construction with social distancing

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is letting low-risk construction work resume if projects permit workers to maintain 6 feet of social distancing. Contractors must post safety plans that include use of personal protective equipment and must provide a supervisor to monitor compliance, offer training and check on workers' health.
