Historic hotel renewal underway in Calistoga, California

Calistogans who happened to be on Lincoln Avenue this past week near the old Hotel D’Amici Ristorante got a pleasant surprise, as the front door was open. Not for business, yet, but for renovations. The building, at 1436 Lincoln Ave., between the Smoke Shop and Ace Hardware, has been shuttered since 2017. Construction starts on Crown Point, Indiania Hampton Inn

Timing for the start of the construction of the new Hampton Inn hotel couldn't be better. Good, who serves as president of Good Hospitality Services based in Valparaiso, spoke Wednesday at a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of where the new $12 million hotel will be built. Builders still upbeat on Toronto apartment boom

Builders are betting that Toronto's reputation as the fastest-growing city in North America won't be substantially dented by the coronavirus pandemic. More than 3,000 apartments have been proposed for construction over the past three months, up sharply from the total a year before, and the 13,358 units under construction in the second quarter was near a 40-year high. TxDOT projects forge ahead in pandemic

Lower traffic volume during the pandemic has allowed the Texas Department of Transportation to accelerate some maintenance work and major projects. One project involves reconstructing the normally busy interchange ramps at Interstate 69 and the 610 West Loop, where TxDOT says it has achieved great success building connector ramps and placing beams. Proposed luxury hotel would link Dallas sports figures

The owner of the Dallas Stars professional hockey team has presented plans for a six-story luxury hotel to Irving, Texas, city leaders. Sandman Signature Hotel would be part of a mixed-use development by Blue Star Land, headed by Dallas Cowboys football team owner Jerry Jones, according The Dallas Morning News story.
