NYC’s Union Square gets 2 new hotels

The hotel capacity in New York's Union Square area is set to double when the Jade Hotel and the Hyatt Union Square open this spring. Damage caused by Hurricane Sandy last year forced the launch of the two properties to be postponed. Meanwhile, the W New York-Union Square has started on a $15 million "gut renovation."
