N.C. bill would legalize drinking in malls

Shoppers in North Carolina malls would be able to browse designated areas while carrying alcoholic beverages under a bill expected to be voted on soon. Special outdoor events hosted by N.C. malls to boost traffic often include alcoholic beverages, but current law prohibits restaurants in malls from participating. Read the WRAL-TV story here
