Des Moines, Iowa, fixture to undergo $37.7M hotel conversion

A 104-year-old downtown landmark office building will soon be the city’s newest hotel. The Midland building, located on 6th Avenue and Mulberry Street next to the Polk County Courthouse, will receive a $37.7 million transformation. Read the KCCI-TV story here

Chick-fil-A to open its biggest eatery in N.Y.

Chick-fil-A will open a 12,000-square-foot, five-story restaurant in New York City's Financial District, with three dining rooms, a meeting space and a rooftop deck, the company said. The chain's third Manhattan location will be its largest to date. Read the amNewYork story here

London NYC to become Conrad New York Midtown after makeover

$24M theater-themed Memphis, Tenn., hotel proposed

Luke Chamblee’s company built the Graduate Hotel in Oxford, which was designed to reflect the unique culture of the town. Honolulu hotels rebrand following renovations

Holiday Inn awaits OK to replace old Redwood City, Calif., hotel

A small, aging hotel could make way for a much larger Holiday Inn with nearly five times as many rooms in downtown Redwood City if the city approves it later this year. A plan by Holiday Inn Express & Suites to demolish the existing Garden Motel at 1690 Broadway for a four-story full-service hotel is set to go before the Planning Commission in October for possible approval.
