Living Spaces opens its biggest furniture store in Texas

Furniture retailer Living Spaces opened a 185,000-square-foot store in Grand Prairie, Texas. It's the largest location in the 22-store California-based chain, which makes about one-third of its furniture in the U.S. and has added designer styles from Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines and others in the Texas store. Idaho's oldest indoor mall will transform into an open-air shopping center over the course of an $11 million project. Karcher Mall will shift its focus to larger retailers over small stores, while tenants Big 5 Sporting Goods, Joanne's Fabrics, Mor Furniture and Ross are expected to stay.
